Default 5 spd clutch pedal assembly

Has anyone put a 5spd clutch pedal assembly together. I got all the parts from driftmotion but that big spring is making it a PITA to put together. If anyone has any tricks please let me know

I used a big pair of channel-locks to compress the spring when I put mine together.

I wanted to know myself, since there is some free play adjustment to be made by the specs.

Did it by hand. Took me a while but I got it. Just put the spring assembly together and slid it over the hole.

Yeah, if you are pretty strong you can do it by hand. I tried for a couple minutes and said screw it. Mechanical advantage ftw!

Ha, do it with your hands!! if you're Heeman. I put the the ends on it stuck it in the vice and used good old bailing wire to keep it compressed like double or triple wrapped.

That Spring has Like 3000lbs fu_kin Tensile Strength.
Get ready for it to Creak and Squeak when you get it all togther after you press/depress 3-4 times.Still haven't quite Figured out how to shut it up since I did mine.

I used a Small Clamp and FInally got it after about 20mins.

I greased the hinge points on mine and I dont think it creaks, but it may be one of those noises that you tune out.

It used to annoy the hell out of my girlfriend but even she doesn't notice it anymore.

I took it out again and greased all the parts and bushings that moved. Squeak has been gone for a while.

With my height and arm length, I don't think I'll ever take the clutch pedal out. It was the most annoying part install I've ever done.
