My trunk light has been gone for many years. I bought a new trunk light housing/assembly and plugged it in. I remember being told this trunk light would not shut off so I turned my video camera on in my phone and tested this theory, sure enough I closed the trunk and the light stayed on.

I am certain there is some sort of a pin or clip that controls this feature somewhere in the trunk. I pulled all the panels off inside the trunk (sides, front, back, etc.) however, I cannot pinpoint exactly what I should be looking for. Is it on the trunk lock itself?

I tried searching on the forum and so far have not found anything on this.
Has anyone else come across this problem?
Any help and/or pictures would be greatly appreciated.
