Default 95 sc400 operating temp.

Is this normal operating temp? It's 46 degrees here. It was like this last winter also? Heat isn't that hot but I've been driving my new FJ Cruiser lately and it's heat gets hot fast.

no, not normal.
mine does it, too. getting a new thermostat should fix it, though.

Skirts: I went with aftermarket last year and my temp sat constantly below the middle (JDM Soarer V8)

I changed to OEM a couple of weeks ago and it runs much better. My heating system has improved too

If it's not the thermostat, it's common for the gauge needle motors to become sluggish and slow over time and higher mileage.

Also while you are at it, replace your coolant temperature sensor.
it's a 20 minutes job: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls4...ange-pics.html

When you're done, don't forget to burp it .... to get the trapped air out off the cooling system.
