Default Rear strut brace, who has one ??

I don't think I have ever seen one for sale any where, let alone any makers supplying them. Couldn't seem to find any on Yahoo auctions either, a friend of mine bought his Soarer with one, but that's the only one I have ever seen.

Anyone on here have one ?

A rear strut bar would be kind of tricky seeing as there is a big *** gas tank right between the strut towers
I know someone built a custom one on here but the name escapes me at the moment
other then custom there likely aren't any

Ya, I've been search everywhere for any type of strut braces. There's barely a market for the fronts, so I wouldn't expect anything for the rears. Custom One Off's are the only way to go.

or start running ones from Toyota Supras, they have been known to work and clear even the V8s intake mainfold

that would be for the front, not the rear.

as other's have said, the huge tank in the way will make it difficult.

are the rear supra shock hats the same bolt pattern as a sc? if so, you could get one off ebay for cheap, and make a custom cross bar.

A couple of dudes have rear strut bars. There was even one guy who made his own and was willing to sell the first prototype he made a little while back. It was in the classifieds.

Also I think that Cusco or Carbing has one for the Soarer but its nearly impossible to find. I know I saw an aftermarket one on Nengun once

a bar that connects @ 2 points will still flex in at least 2 axises. Strut bars are useless unless its a 3 point or more. And double it up, if you want it for bling factor, no one will see it....

Unless he has converted his SC to a MR or RR chassis, clearance over the intake has nothing to do with this subject

OP, search rear strut brace here on the forums, and that will give your answer. A couple have been custom made, but with the gas tank being in the trunk, its not the easiest thing to accomplish.

I didn't realize they were this hard to get a hold of? I guess that big gas tank makes companies not want to make any.

It's not that they are hard to get a hold of, there's few because most companies don't want to R&D for a chassis that has been discontinued and not really profitable.

Plus, these braces are practically useless on our chassis. Multiple connecting points, that's a different story. These two point braces are just for looks.
