Amp mounted to gas tank...?

I got an Alpine mono for the sub, ,mounted it to a thin piece of plywood, cut out a section in the Gas tank cover and mounted it flush. Hides all the wires and the heat fins are exposed in the trunk. Worked well for me.
Thank you guys for your advice. This is exactly what I wanted to know. I'll see if I can make some amp rack behind the tank, but not on the tank.

Oh and don't worry, I'll post many pics of my audio install project.
