wow, great story. I've met some people that looked at my car and admired it. But no one yet that has a story to tell or anything similar to yours. Pretty cool man

I was getting an alignment at the nissan dealer because they had just gotten a new machine to align the GT-R. One of the mechanics came out when I pulled up and told me how super clean my SC was and excitedly asked if it was a 5spd then freaked out when I told him it was! hahaha!

Love these cars.

I had a similar thing happen today.

At my work we provide a customer pick up and drop off (car hire). Anyway, there was an elderly gentleman that I had to pick up from a smash repair shop.

As we were talking (an ex-pat Aussie that just came back from Japan) I noticed he was dropping car names like crazy. Everything from Benzes to Soarers and what they're like overseas. He even knew the differences between a 30 and 40 series Soarer were. We were talking about our own personal cars (can't remember what he had) as we were going through the rental agreement I had a look at his license... born in 1928!

Went to pick up some parts at a AutoZone and got an offer to buy my SC. My SC is stock, but the 5 speed is a draw since it is not modded.

I just bought my car a few months ago at work and have recieved remarks from "that's a 92?! Looks newer than that" to "I just love those SC's bodylines" to "That's a great looking car, You don't need to change a thing on it". I love the compliments my 19 yr old, bone stock SC400 gets from everyone.

Then the trans went and a lot of sympathy came pouring in. nice to know people care haha
