Default Did it yesterday, but...

Drove the SC300 from parent's house in South Carolina to home in Chattanooga and lost the clutch going through the mountains :-( She sat for about a week, yesterday was my day off and I put it to good use. Dropped the exhaust, drive shaft, transmission, and pulled the clutch. Found out that one of the previous owners put an aftermarket flywheel on her, so whomever did that thanks!!! Saved me some money lol

Friction material has seen better days, time to spend some moneys.

Original clutch on an aftermarket flywheel

This here doohikey needs a bath.

got started on the passenger door panel, was a little cold so the liquid nails took forever to dry, left it in my garage to dry overnight, same thing with the wood trims. painted them a nice deep black, tons of clear coat to make it look nice and deep. gonna put it all back together today and do the last wood trims probably. maybe even paint the dash, we'll see, it's nice this week but i get home from work and it's dark, so i'll have to paint in the dark.

I've broken the key ring for my original master and spare keys and lately lost my original master key for good. I've purchased the cheaper OEM lexus keys, but they didn't have same feel nor size of the original SC keys when you'd open the door or turn on the car. I could not find the original spare SC key anywhere and I didn't want to pay the premium quite yet for an original SC key, but I have found one that is nearly the same size. It is not OEM Lexus but the markings on the say: ilco LXP90-P USA

Thanks.... As I stated in the Brake/Suspension thread I was all over the map deciding on a color and finally ended up in a blue or blue/green but then had a difficult time deciding which blue.

So, these are RSP-8L5 - "Royal Sapphire Pearl" since I admired that color so much.....

We will see how it looks once on the car... My wheels are mesh type so not a lot will show through...(when stationary... rolling is another matter altogether). Maybe later I will change out to some 5 spokes....

Completed my black on tan interior, using a mix of new & used OEM parts. The seat belts were the last black pieces to go in. I think now a black rear view mirror & the chrome LS400 inner door handle retrofit would be a nice final touch.

That would definitely add to the finished product.

I put this rear view mirror in mine when I did my two tone tan/black interior. Love the features of it!
