Can't say I've heard of an OCV. Where is it located?

Not sure if I mentioned it before, but I lost one of the intake manifold bolts while doing my starter. Ordered one from the Lexus dealership. Was only $12 and they could have it for me next day.

Got everything put back together and, naturally, found the lost bolt.

In other news, though:

Started on the first try, no check engine light, no leaks. The throttle cable seems to have a bit more slack than I remember at rest, though. While it's possible that I'm just being a bit more sensitive since I noticed the cable, it kind of seems like there's a bit more throttle lag than I remember.

Otherwise, drives like a champ. I'm happy.

I removed the air suspension from my car yesterday, reinstalled coilovers, and aligned the car.

I went to go have breakfast with a friend this morning and he told me he was thinking about getting rid of his wheels. After a couple of hours I unexpectedly went home with these.

I'm thinking about putting the air back on now.

Painted the calibers and replaced the pads (front and rear).

Before and after. It took me about 15 hours to complete everything.

Before and after

I wrecked mine the other day in the Texas rain. Bumper, Tail light, and rear quarter panel are all gone. Car is probably going to be totaled so I'm not sure whats going to happen to her. Hit a guard rail on the highway.

Oh wow, dude, that sucks. Try to save it if you can, since it's a 1 of 120!

At worse, even if they declare it a total loss, you can generally buy it back from them for a fairly small cost. Really, they don't particularly want the car, they'll just sell it for salvage minus towing fees, title transfer costs, etc. A lot of times you can get a pretty good pay-out, minus the small amount to keep the car, then fix it yourself for much less than an insurance certified shop would charge. And, if you're lucky, have some left over for upgrades in the process.

Friend of mine is doing exactly this with his Firebird right now.

Or hang on to it to sell it to someone who cares rather than let it go to salvage where who knows what would happen to it.
