what is the going price for an authentic Vertex bumper like the one you just got? is it made of urethane or fiberglass?
the AIT copy doesn't fit so great. especially around the highbeam lights. i might just save my cash and buy a real front bumper so i can have perfect fitment.

washed it up real good, got rid of those pesky water marks ( seems to be my micro towels aren't drying it all the way i use about 4 of them to dry the whole car)
also got tired of the stock rims looking so ugly and grayish. also got the curved rounded and deepened (since i got rid of my 17's) i took the dremel and sanded them down.
any body think a small + wheel spacer would look ok on the stock height sc with fac spec 255's ? like a 5-15mm just to bring the wheels out lil bit.
i gotta tint my windows cause the sun kills the passengers in the back seat. and up front it's bad so that's next and changing the tone of the exhaust.

Today? Replaced 3 peanut bulbs...In the past 3-4 weeks, I installed the Eibach Pro kit springs (I'd heard 1" drop, HOWEVER, I only realized a 0.5" drop as I guess my orig springs had softened 0.5"), went with KYB-G2 struts, replaced the lower control arms with new OEM Supra LCA's (it works perfect and saved me many hundreds, thank you so much for this great info Club Lexus members! Never would have known otherwise), sway bar links, fixed the lower plastic front drip pan with copper rivets and aluminum strapping to repair split and keep it nice and tight, sealed the repair with black caulking (Lexus wanted $900 for a large piece of plastic..really?) , replaced the seat ECM control but (looks like a motor needs replacing though). Bladed off the gold pinstripes, people were pointing and laughing...sheesh...Replaced Group 27 battery with Group 33 (same CCA) to lose a few pounds,,,To Do: Adding a M3 rear trunk spoiler Friday and looks more like i have to do the power steering pump (leaking usually =blown right?) before the alternator gets bombed. All improvements have made a huge difference. Last month I added 225 40 18's on Enkei F5 but they are a little firm and i wish I went with 45's for more cushion and fill-in, I also lost 4 MPH on my speedo....but they look fab. Next week or so, i start Tom Renshaw's BFI 4.3 mod..and new red/smoke taillights..I just hate these orange taillights, they are brutal.. Every improvement makes makes me that much prouder to own it....(one thing I am wanting : original front lower spoiler, black, again Lexus dealer wants $950, not a chance..I hear they are hard to find as they get scraped off and too $ to replace... Why does every part on my SC400 seem to cost $700-900?? All the best...
