Are there two distinct types of ignition coils for the left and right coils on the 1992 SC400? My brother-in-law says they are both the same. However, in the parts catalog they are listed as a left and right coil with different prices. Therefore, I believe it is essential to order the one for the specific location on the car. Where can I find a schematic of the coils?

i recently have replaced both coils on my 92 sc400. They are both the same. i purchased them from autozone. Your brother in law is correct.

They are listed as left and right because they'll come with two different brackets. However the coils themselves are identical and can just be switched to the correct bracket
