Default Damn shops....

So I went to a local machine shop today asking him to look at my engine head and tell me if it needs to be machined, he flipped my engine head over to look and the valve lifters fell out.... he was able to put most in order but there are about 6 or 8 where he is not sure.... does anyone know what I can do at this point to make sure they are in correct order? I checked the Engine replair manual and I didnt see anything, he said I can put the cams in and mesure the gap. Im not sure how I can go abouts doing that.

The thing that feel out looks like this:

2nd thing is, my friend has a aristo engine right now and we are swapping it in his car, will he need to tune the car or do anything if he switch to USDM cam shafts?

should be fine with no tune after cams. wouldn't hurt, but i wouldn't even bother putting them. IMO not worth it really. the valves fell out them selves or the buckets fell out? unless you took the valve springs off then the valves can fall out. but for buckets you will have to measure them as per the repair manual

just pop them back in and do a valve adjustment when you get everything back together, witch is something you should be doing anyways.
