the cabin filter is under the glove box.
for the seat...Not necessarily a mileage thing...people get in and out differently and that can affect the rate of wear. Some people just drag themselves out. and if you make a lot of short trips, that just put a lot of wear on the seat.

WOW ok thanks for the great responses.
Also thanks Fire Code for the detailed response it is very much appreciated.
1. Any suggestion on seat cleaning I was doubtful about the driver seat to be restored. But if its possible I will try it.
2. I have some extra Honda accord wheels I am going to try to see if they fit? they are 5x114.3..... does the .3 make a difference? :-)
Thanks again guys

good suggestion on swapping tires. this could save you if something is wrong.
also to check be sure to check all controls and gauges at night. be sure to change stations, tape, cd, and all climate controls to see what if any lights or controls are out.
check interior lights as well as cigarette lighter to see what you may need to replace down the road.

My car has 145 000 kms----the seats look ten times better than those-----ive seen cars with over 200 000 miles that have seats in much better shape than those------just something to keep in mind is all
doesnt neccessarily mean something is wrong.
Good luck----I hope it works out for you.

Car Fax is in! Everything checks out but mileage not reported after 2002 because 2nd owner had it since then. Good to see that Lexus reports to carfax. I am going to call USwarranty, maybe there is existing 3rd party warranty ;-)

1. How do I know if the lower control arms are bad? Clunking popping noise when going from park to drive? (not the wobble effect im getting when going slow?)
2. How would I know if the transmission mounts are bad? vibration during driving or in park.

The car can shake because of many reasons:
Tires are not balanced correctly.
Bad Tie rod ends.
Lug nuts are loose.
If the engine is shaking then your crank pulley is loose.
If the car was sitting out side every day in the hot sun next to the sprinklers your bushings might have rotted away.
The car might have some frame damage so the chassis is not straight anymore, Just because the car is clean title doesn't mean it doesn't have any unreported damage.
I would first check the tires for uneven wear then the rims and make sure they aren't bent then check the body and see if you can spot frame damage.

Thanks for bringing up the frame damage idea.
I am swapping all my honda tires tomorrow with it and hope that fixes the problem..
My other main goal is to examine the cluster/odometer for any signs of replacement/removal.
