Default OK, so the MKIV clutch pedal DOES NOT fit SC's

Just to clear up the confusion, the Supra clutch pedal/bracket does NOT fit SC300's. I was out in the garage for about an hour trying to install the clutch pedal on my 92 SC3, and the mounting pattern is definatly not the same (besides the 2 MC bolts).

When installed just on the MC bolts the clutch pedal is unable to be depressed(hits the carpet). I even removed the "dead pedal" and still no bueno.

I bought the pedal from a guy in Japan, but im 90% sure its NOT off a JDM (rhd) supra, im sure he would have mentioned that.

So I guess its back to the hunt of finding a SC300 clutch pedal!!!

so... question for ya. If you bought a pedal from a guy in the US, you would assume it was LHD right? Because we have LHD cars here. If you bought a pedal off a guy from japan... you see where I'm going with this

yes you can make a mk iii pedal fit, but i wouldn't recommend it. Just get a SC pedal set which is meant to fit in an SC. Why cheap out on something that is so crucial to driver involvement. SC pedal sets aren't even that expensive.

Yea, do that. It is one of the most important parts of driving a manual car.

I have an SC pedal, but the auto dead pedal got in the way until I gutted all the foam out of it and mashed it flat. The clutch pedal didn't hit it, but it was right beside it so your foot would hit the dead pedal when you pushed the clutch.

I must have got a RHD supra pedal then. quickgs300 do you have any pics of the supra pedal, either installed or by itsself?

I would use a MKIII pedal, but id rather not modify anything that shouldnt need to be modified. If I have to, ill get the correct set from DM, or the dealer.

quickGS300, if you could get pics though, that would be awesome!

Thanks,
Mike
