That's unfortunate but it seems like you can just bang it out

Bottom line, you got off easy on what could have been a very costly (FATAL) mistake
in the pic u can see the circle where the jack was... and about an inch to the right is where the "frame" or stronger part of the car was...

why are you using that ****ty jack anyway?? get a craftsman or a more relaible slanted race jack. i had that red **** when i was younger. and now i use my craftsman on all my cars(never let me down). and you have to pay attention to jack points like everyone said.

even when i go for a tire change and they don't have a lift i stand over them and make sure they know what there doing..

Same thing happened to me years ago. Pull carpet, hammer in place, and weld. Seam weld entire car while your at it.

Good thing you weren't under the car when that happened. Where exactly are the spots you should place the jack and jack stands under the SC? I've never used a jack and I don't have access to my manual at the moment.

Not a very bad boo boo, but the fact that nothing happen to you is good. Which is lesson learned not only for you, but all of us here on CL. You need either a bigger cup or a for that jack or a flat spacer.
I'm glad yore ok!

The most visible locations are the pinch welds that run along each side of the car; I don't like those though, over time they tend to distort. Frame rails that sit further in from the pinch welds will work as well. You can also use the control arms; harder to get to, more suitable for jack stand points. The tow hooks can also be used as lift points.
