alright, i've been needing to roll my fenders and the purpose of rolling fenders is to bend that lip inside the fender. Well I have a dremel with a cutting disc and lots of time tomorrow. Why not just cut the that lip off?

I don't hear too much about shaving fenders around these forums is there a reason why?

jus use a heat gun and a baseball bat. heat up the fender so it dont crack then stick a baseball bat there. look up youtube. if your gonna take it in to someone its gonna be $40 per corner. i never heard of anyone using a dremel. gl

Lots of guys actually cut the lip. The rears have a lot of support so its not a big deal on them, the fronts however are different. My main reason to roll verses cut is to avoid a sharp edge in the event to tires do rub. Rolling the SC fenders is tricky, the moulding holes are known to cause ripples on the fender.

There are lots of threads on rolling and cutting fenders with pros and cons on both, use the search and you should find them.

I've search the forums on rolling the fenders with a baseball bat and for the front I heard it wasnt a good idea

i've search and didnt see much but then agian i didnt try cutting fenders

I really just need to cut the rears so that sounds but sharp edges dont sound good at all,

time to buy a basball bat

just get a good shop to roll it for you. better to pay the 40-50 per fender than if you mess up and have to go thru that process

Alright ive done a lil more reading and deciding on cutting the rears and then rolling it when i can get my hands on a fender roller to do a slight pull/flare then priming the parts I cut to avoid rust

concerns i have read about though, now when ppl cut the fenders they say dont cut too far, im assumming cutting the lip off to the edge of the fender

I cut my fenders because I didn't want to end up with wavy fenders and cracked paint, and because it was easier. I used an angle grinder and the trick I was told is to put masking tape over the cut line to keep the paint from peeling. It worked well. Just make sure you angle the cutting side of the cut-off wheel into the car so you don't risk skipping off the lip and onto the fender.

If your rubbing only a little bit then just use a rubber mallet and a vice grip. Although it sounds stupid it wors.

Have you had any rubbing issues on your XXR's or the SSR's? Also, how wide are your new wheels?
