Who has removed their pinstripes using "easy-off oven"

I thought mine were too but a friend of mine that owns a body shop convinced me to give that a shot. Mine is a '93

I didn't have a "ghost stripe" but I know the car was garage kept by the only person who owned it before me and I removed the pinstripe the first week it bought it.

I just had my new to me blk on blk 95 sc300
,s front bumper and hood repainted n did away with the awful gold emblems n pinstripes
my friend at the body shop used an eraser like a pencil eraser but bigger looks great n the new cf emblems I love too. Pics posted later.

I used this exact method on my last SC 2 years ago. Worked flawlessly, no ghost stripe and my SC had 200k+ miles on it (sandstone metallic beige). Just test it out on a less noticeable part of the body first to make sure.

What if they are painted on? How do I remove them? They are recently done too?

Mine were the same way, definitely painted on and below the clear coat. I wonder if the difference is whether the pinstripes were a factory or dealer option?

I carefully sanded through the clear coat until reaching the pinstripe paint, then removed that with equal care. The end result was that it looked worse than before I started with partially faded stripes, though. If I could go back and do it over again, I would leave them alone and put some other graphic on to hide or augment them.
