Default turns over but no start

I replaced head gasket, put it all back together. When I pulled off distributor the engine was on tdc and I marked the rotor with white paint (and its facing towards the first spark plug) in relation with the rest of the dist. (dizzy i think its called) marked the nut holding dist. with paint on the slide part so I could put it back as close as possible. The ground wires were put back on intake bolt. I think everything is back the way it was before taking it apart as far as I could tell. Just double checked that cams are right spot at tdc.

I have spark at coil and fuel at the rail. It turns over but doesn't want to start. I had somebody crank it while I rotated the distributor and still won't start. Please help!

You replaced the timing belt correct? If it was from Toyota, it should have had markings to line up with the crank and cams.

Does it sound like it wants to start or just cranks?

If everything is assembled properly and you say all connections are solid, the motor could be 180 out. Instead of TDC, it may be BDC.

The Crankshaft pully is on zero and both cams are on top with dots lining up with cover lines......
