Default Trunk Popper Problem

So out of nowhere the trunk release switch no longer pops the trunk :-/

The switch is also wired to my Viper Alarm and it also will not electronically pop the trunk. Manual key works just fine.

If I disconnect the battery and then reconnect it (was doing something else, found this on accident) the trunk will pop on its own

Ideas?

It is not the valet....checked that first thing.

Relay?

So after you disconnect/connect your battery... does it only work once then stop? Or are you good after that?

that valet key lock right next to the release has gotten me several times.
could be the switch i suppose, maybe try disconnecting the switch and reconnecting.
it worked for me when the seat memory buttons stopped working on my last SC

I just fixed mine too. For the longest time the key-switch under and left of the steering wheel wouldn't pop out using the master key. I wiggled the hell out of it last night and it finally popped out and now it works. Maybe some WD40 is in order here.

Mine won't pop open either, yet I can hear it trying. It's possible that your trunk struts are completely shot
and they can no longer support the weight of your trunk.

this happened to me, the trunk would unlock and open but would stay closed untill u manually pulled up on it. installed new struts and fixed the issue, now its just hard as hell to close cuz of the struts fighting me to keep it open lol
