Default Cassette won't eject/stuck?

I have a sony cassette adapter I use on my 92 SC for my ipod. One day it just started flipping sides while I was playing my ipod, and then, stopped playing completely. If I switch the deck to tape, it shows the tape playing, but then keeps playing, flipping sides crazy for about 5 seconds, then automatically switches to the radio. The cassette, now, will also not eject. It's just stuck in there and won't play. Any help or known fixes? I don't want to buy a new deck because of this...

NOPE. I tried that . With the power on, radio on/off, in tape mode, not in tape mode, etc. Damn. Is there a way to reset the radio? I think I might have to unplug a main power source and plug it back in. This might do the trick. I haven't been using the tape cassette since this happened, now, when I switch it to tape mode, it screen is black for a brief moment, then the tape starts to play (sounds like the tape is having a hard time spinning at the beginning.) damn,

Will any NAKAMICHI head unit fit the 1992 lexus? My head unit doesn't same NAKAMICHI, just say's "premium" sound system. No CD player. I'm pretty sure it's NAKAMICHI. Up until they started using Pioneer.

this happened to me
well it first happened last year, don't remember how I got the tape out then but I put it back in (like a dumb***) and it worked fine until this morning.
To get it out today, i had the head unit off, and first tried holding the eject button for ten seconds - same thing, just some whirring and a soft crunching or straining sound, then goes to FM. But then when I pulled on the wire of the adapter tape or moved the tape around with my fingers, I found some play in the upward direction. Holding up on the tape so that it matched up with the opening, and pulling back firmly on the wire, I pressed eject again - after about 6-7s of clicking and whirring, the tape popped out.

This time I threw the tape in the garbage. Was a sony CPA-9C, lasted just over 4 years. I liked it enough that I'm getting another of the same, and won't be leaving it in the car in summer.

Hey there guys and gals.:-) had the same issue. Found the easy fix to get the tape out without braking a thing. Disconnectthe positive for the battery for about one min. Then reconnect it. Turn the key to the on position and the deck will click for about ten seconds and the adapter popped. Throw the a apter in the trash and get a FM transmitter to run your iPod or what ever you have off that. The radios don't like adapters that have the wire coming off of it for some reason. My tape deck still play tape just fine so just don't use those adapters again and you to can in joy the sounds of lexus's best built car ever.:-)
