Default WTF Windows...?

So I did a search and I've talked to a few people and no one has any idea wsup with my windows. Anyway 2 days ago, I was driving with my windows down and all of a sudden they wouldn't go back up. I got a bit worried considering I didn't want to be stuck in a public place w/ my windows open so I went home and upon going home I opened my passenger side door and low and behold...the windows worked again! but once I closed the passenger side door, the windows would just stop working all together.

I'm SOOOO confused...haha, I feel like my car is haunted. I picked it up a few months ago with an after-market alarm with clutch bypass and autostart already installed, so I figured that MIGHT be the reasoning behind it, but I took it to audio shop today and they told me that its the car itself, not the alarm...so now I'm really confused. I'm taking it into my mechanic to have it diagnosed tomorrow, but until then, any help or advice would be awesome

I've never encountered this before, so in order for me to open or close my windows i have to crack open the passenger side door, its not too bad but pretty inconvenient to say the least, help a confused brotha out

got it fixed, the problem was what I expected, there was a short in the ground wire between the door and body of the car.

+1. It is in the rubber grommet in the driver door (your most used). You can jump the window switch to put them back up.

at least its not the driver side!

BTW what exactly was the problem? Was it something to do with the alarm?

make sure you lube your guides for the window, common problem when they get dirty it over works your regulator causing it to slow down
