So, I'm moving my setup to a different car, and the cool thing about this car is that the trac, abs, etc, everything works like factory on this car and I'm just curious if anyone has any experience with doing the nat ecu mod and how well if at all the factory trac and abs still functions?

So my timing is at 8 and the idle is very rough like it is sitting around 600-680 rpm and i have adjusted the tps all the way what else can i do? also the computer has not learned because i have not driven on the road yet. so i pulled a code with the car not running and the code is 31. which now i see is the map sensor and i know that i have my wiring correct like 5 times.. so i am guessing it is bad. time to find another one

abs isn't controlled by the ecu. trac should work just like stock as well but I dont have trac on mine so can't confirm 100%

not to big of a gap for idling and regular driving its fine but might break up with higher amounts of boost.
I would recommend going with Iridiums BKR7EIX next time or regular coppers BKR7E they also come pregappet at .032 gap which is good for higher boost and both work better than platinum plugs. low boost you can run a .043 a BKREIX -11 is a stock supra plug that comes at .043 inches. the -11 stands for 1.1mm or .043" , so if you get the kind without the -11 at the end they come at .032" which is what I like to drop in... the BKR7eIX.

they both will work

89421-12110 (early JDM) (Superscedes to 89421-12111)
89421-12111 (late JDM, USDM)

Just to confirm, is it necessary when using an obd2 usdm tt ecu to replace the sc300 maf with a maf from a supra tt, and also need to add a map from a supra tt?

you will want to run the supra maf in front of the turbo, or do a maf delete with a vpc or map ecu.

now the map sensor is only used for twin turbo operation and boost cut, so on a single turbo na-t the engine will run fine without it, but it will throw a check engine light. in regards to boost cut I am not sure how it affects that. maybe do some reading on supraforums I bet its on there.
most people install it though.

I have never tried this or read about it but what I was going to try was using a larger map sensor on there like a gm 3 bar. Since it doesn't use it for fueling, it probably wont affect anything and will raise boost cut a bunch, and they are less expensive. again, this is just one of those crazy things in the back of my head I was going to try when using a USDM ecu but no idea if it actually works. if you do try it then let me know if it works =)

The vpc is supposed to have some anti boost cutting properties as well but I haven't tested it because 10:1.

Hey quick question for anybody running 440 injectors on the stock ecu.

I'm rebuilding my motor and my plan is to start it up and break it on the aristo ecu with 440cc injectors. I was wondering, If the car is running rich can i just up the boost till the afrs are good?

I dont want a piggyback because im going to move on to a standalone a little later with way bigger injectors.

Just wondering can i up the boost on my s362 until my afrs come into place? or will it still run rich off boost.

Setup: aristo ecu, aristo map, aristo iat, 440cc injectors, s362, tial mvr 44mm, and fsm ffim.

Great news, sounded like it was the map sensor, now go out and enjoy it!!
make sure you get the o2 working or running rich will give you carbon deposits, happened to me.

440cc is the right size for the aristo ecu so you shouldn't be running rich really if you have he o2 sensor in, they usually are a little rich at startup and then settle into place. yes for boost only raise it to where you have healthy afr's. on that turbo I don't think you will be running super rich but if you are you can just raise it some. start low and then go higher if you did the headgasket 12-14 psi should be a good area to start.

Ali, any idea if a set of usdm twins could fit under the stock throttle body?

Ignoring the fact that the manifold bolt pattern does not match up.
