yeah signal wire shouldn't be 4.2v even though i didn't get how you measured it.

then this ecu must be the culprit, yeah i used a volt meter. took a sec to figure out how to set it up correctly. but with key on engine off it read 4.2 volts

yeah basically 4.2v would mean the ecu thinks you are at like 12 psi of boost.
only other thing i can think of besides a bad ecu or map sensor is that the power wire is touching the signal wire if they have the exact same voltage.

If you unplug the map sensor, what do you get on the signal line from the ecu?
Then with the map sensor plugged in, what is the signal wire reading?
(you may have to strip part of the wire to do this reading)

It reads identical, wether the map is plugged in or the map is unplugged. Very strange it does read the same...... im gonna trace the wire and see but im thinking its gotta be the ecu.

both wires seem to read identical too.

A guy wants to trade me a jdm gte intake with all sensors and injectors (i know they wont bolt up) for my spare bare bottom end think this is worth it? i was thinking of having the runners welded.

And i know you can reuse arp's but can you reuse the stock tt hg?? it looks very good and he said he only started the motor and heard a knock (which is why he wants my block) and took the head back off.

welding runners is not the best, I would stick with the n/a intake it actually makes more torque.
you can reuse arp's. Personally I wouldn't reuse a headgasket, I don't know if its alright or not really.
Its such a pain to redo if it doesn't work out and you can risk blowing your motor.
I would put a new gasket on there, timing belt, and tensionors but thats just me.

Here is what I did and it has a good part list to go off of if you are taking the motor apart.

I just changed timing belt tensioner and all engine gaskets less than 800 miles ago so i may just be waiting on a head gasket change then.

I read somwhere that the ge mani does help increase torque at least its good for something but im just dying to run this big borg warner turbo i have o well guess im just gonna find another solution.

But on another note i found 440's and im gonna order the coils from QuickSc4 so i will be able to finish up my ecu swap cause my car wont even run right now i was messing with a integra and it started bogging out and doesnt want to idle now running very lean i dont think its the HG i think its more of a fueling issue but the injector change will tell me that.

are you on the stock ecu right now, it will do that you need to reset the ecu to fix it.
If you need to run a huge turbo most either go FFIM, modify the turbo manifold for extra clearance, swap a gte head on so you can use those manifolds (requires oil pump w/ crank sensor and tt ecu mod), or modify the stock Y pipe/throttlebody to be shorter so you can route the charge pipe around the turbo.

What BW Turbo you have? 83-75/8875/9179 ? and what Exhaust housing if you don't have the big AR you should be fine .
And You should start a build thread i am sure your thread will also help the others wanting to go the same route.

No wires, Just use your stock wires from your distributor. I will ship them out tomorrow.

Pm me I will tell you where you can get an smaller exhaust housing for that turbo, I don't wanna clutter this thread.

Haven't seen one of those turbo's before, looks interesting.
so the piping cleared up the issues with the map code? keep us posted

For the wires I am running these, I didn't have the vvti plugs either so I used 3 off my distributor until these came in the mail.

The piping was never the cause of the map code it just blew off under boost no map was connected the as i was on the stock ecu.

And yea im liking those wires i will most likely end up with them because they match my blue scheme maybe i will post up a pic of my dusty old engine bay haha
