find them anywhere craigslist, supraforums classifieds, out classifieds. I have seen them given away, I have seen good ones go for $100, I have seen people try and charge much more. Its basically included with most swaps and half those people go manual at least so people have these transmissions sitting around.
sometimes it takes a WTB: ad in the classifieds cause alot of people don't list them cause not many want them, but for na-t auto with gte ecu could be a good re-purposing with some wiring, and I do not plan on figuring out the wiring for this so you guys will need to figure it out or just grab a spare gte harness and hack it up.

Yeah the auto supra and Aristo trans are sold allll day for like 2-300 shipped.. Can't post a link for obvious reasons but search around for auction style sites or some guy named Craig, he has a list I think...

Has anyone tried these out before? http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Set-of-3-High-Performance-Ignition-Coil-For-LEXUS-SUPRA-3-0L-V6-C1153-UF-228-/141316432881?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item20e71da3f1&vxp=mtr
Used stock sets are about $100-150, these are new aftermarket ones for $150, I'm tempted to give them a try, what do you guys think? Or better to just stick to oem and just deal with used and hope they are still strong?

It's a toss up. They have great feedback and offer a 1 year warranty, could be great. On the other hand, when you get to the point of your first start-up and something doesn't work, you'll be chasing rabbits trying to figure out what it is, could be these or anything else.

Do you have anyway to plug these in on a stock motor and see how they work?

I assume you mean a stock IS300, no I don't. Did yall just get new IS300 plug wires or try and reuse some of the existing wires from the GE dizzy setup? It looks like the plugs are the same, I just don't know if the lengths work. I'm still NA and will remain so for months still, I am just doing the ECU and ignition swap as one of the steps to get to NA-T as budget allows.

Yeah any VVT-i motor to test them on. I did the same thing, got it all wired on the FFIM and running NA for a bit, getting any bugs worked out and then bolting up the turbo later. I always recommend new wires, depending on how old yours are, it should be done as a maintenance thing anyway.

Yeah normally I would just get new wires no questions asked, but i just got a new plugs, cap, rotor and wires 2 months ago and have driven maybe 20 miles on them. I may just get new wires anyway so they are the right length and all.

Hmm bummer, not sure, someone else will have to chime in and say whether they are similar or not..

I have used the stock wires before the caps on the end of the stock plugs have tabs that face random directions for the distributor and you have to find the ones that face the right direction if you want them to "lock down" but those are removable and the wires are more or less the same. the lengths just choose the right stock ones they won't be ideal but it should be close enough. there is lots of space in the plug valley.

I ended up just ordering the NGK wires off amazon though for an Is300 they are around $40 or so and they are plug and play and have the right clips and everything, a little thicker than stock also. I feel like bigger wires on these are a no brainer but if the ones you just bought are bigger then you can try and reuse them its possible.

lol, I will try and take a pic later I just got some stuff rewires and the power steering reservoir out of the way.
still waiting on some 5/8 power steering hose to move the reservoir the local place does not stock that for some reason.

The stock non vvti wires will be too long , just get the correct set from a vvti engine.

Yeah I would have to agree and suggest everyone just get these:
NGK (6404) TE79 Spark Plug Wire Set
Amazon.com: NGK (6404) TE79 Spark Plug Wire Set: Automotive Amazon.com: NGK (6404) TE79 Spark Plug Wire Set: Automotive

Well....change of plans. R154 swap!! Picked up a r154 with bellhousing, speed sensor and fly wheel for $750. Getting the rest of the parts (6 puck clutch, pedal, master and slave cylinder, trans mount, drive shaft, shifter, SS clutch line and manual boot) for $650.

I think that's all I need...now I'll just have to find a manual ecu but I think that can wait.

Really guys, don't bother with the stock auto. It doesn't work well and you will be disappointed.

Any idea on how much I can get for a super low miles stock auto?

Awesome that is really the best way to go Buff. grab a manual ecu down the road and likely you will have no codes and an obd2 manual turbo SC that can pass emissions, how awesome is that (I kind of want one now).
It will run on the auto ecu but the codes you are used to seeing will come up and you have to jumper the NSS on the auto plug to get it to start, not a big deal.
That is a good price if its a 2jz bell housing you can spend like 300 just on that usually.
That sounds like all the parts to me more or less, keep us updated.

the stock auto is not really worth anything unless you know someone with a broken trans. in that case if its clean maybe $100 i dunno really.
depends how much they go for at regular yards maybe look it up on used car parts online that searches all the yards.

I actually saw a obd2 manual ecu come up on supraforums a few days ago for a pretty good price considering its a obd2 one. I think he was asking 160. comb through the first few pages over there and you should see it. hard to find when they are not available so I would jump on it.
