I had that issue with one of my old taillights. You can take the headlight and use a blow dryer to dry out some condensation. It worked for me, but you'll have to do it every time the headlight gets wet.

I don't have any pics of the breather. I didn't know they had one.

I bought a 3M headlight restoration kit the other day and gave it a try. It was about $25 at AutoZone. I was very pleased and happy with the outcome. Headlights went from being yellow and foggy to crystal clear. In the picture you see the difference between the drivers side (yellowish) and the passengers side (clear).

Used the Meguiars kit on the SC but did not get as good results on the LS. Tried the Mothers kit and that formula worked better on both; it comes with small wet sanding pads (four grits in all) but I did not have to use them (yet).

Also used the Mothers kit (just the liquid and cloth) on a scratch on the instrument cluster lens and it worked well there, too.

I just today used the new meguiars HD kit on 2 different cars, the sc300 and a mercury sable. The sable had Really badly oxidized headlights and they look brand new after using the kit. The sc300 had medium oxidization and also now look brand new.

I am hoping the UV protectant will help keep them looking better for longer.

Because the outside plastic oxidizing is an entirely different problem than the inside having condensation.
