Who here has rolled / pulled their fenders themselves?
I'm wondering since the majority of the SC community is rolling on aftermarket wheels, who has actually rolled and pulled their own fenders?
Reason I'm asking is because I am either going to do this myself, or get overcharged for $500 to do it at a shop......
I need the rears pulled, not sure how this procedure will work though
If some of you who actually rolled / pulled yourself, can you post up some instructions and tips on what to watch out for when doing this?
Thanks

myself, used a part shop max fender roller, heat gun, and a hammer
tips? go slow, remember how you do it. go gradually, and keep going back and forth to dial it in from side to side.

F*** paying a shop $500+ to do some easy shet.
keep in mind that on our SC's, certain spots on the fender lips living have plastic clips to hold the plastic fender lip lining (which u will have to remove anyway) and you really have to be careful how u roll because it'll leave indentations if you dont do it right.
and if you care about your paint, a Heatgun i your best friend.
otherwise; hammer time
uh oh, uh oh, uh oh uh oh, uh oh...

eastwood roller sucks. even the best tools in the hands of amateurs dont perform well. damn advertising. why do they make things look so good
if you take your time you can do it well. i know i can. i have seen some phenomenal rolling jobs and also some fubar'd ones....all with the same roller.
we have a community fender roller that goes around the north chicago suburbs. lol. we chipped in with some friends and bought one.

I rolled mine using a rubber mallet. it works easy. Mallet cost only 2.45 at target, bought one from the camping section. Only thing is you'll having a bit of flaring.
A eastwood roller works cleaner and shouldnt be that hard to use, just use a heat gun and youll be fine.
Another alternative is to have it cut and grinded smooth. I would say if your paints already somewhat damaged just roll yourself. If your car is brand new or something with new paint, get a pro to do it so hes liable to a degree.

Allow me to clarify: The Eastwood Roller didnt suck, the actually job sucked.....the front fenders on our cars are so flimsy when attacked with the roller, and the spot where the body line meets the front fenders required a bunch of extra time....the tool certainly got the job done, but the "iffiness" of it being my first time had my nerves shot.....well worth my $$ to have someone experienced to tackle it next time. Sorry for my misleading post earlier.
