Anyone have pinout/wiring diagram for SC300/400 seat plug? Annoying seatbelt light
Hi,
My new-to-me SC300 has Supra seats installed and the seatbelt light is on in the dash.
I ALWAYS WEAR MY SEATBELT. In fact, I feel naked in the car if it's not on.
That being said, the PO ran some jumper wires from the Supra seat's wiring harness into the SC's body harness seat plug but the light is still on in the dash even when the belt is plugged in.
I'm guessing he connected the wrong wires. I believe I can just jumper the body harness side so the car thinks the belt is plugged in all the time, but I don't have a wiring diagram. Does anyone know which terminals to jump for this?
Thanks!!!!
-Adam

I looked through the .pdf service manual and still couldn't find it. They refer to a two pin plug under the seat on the SC300, but I think my supra seat has the seatbelt and power seat functions tied to one junction.
After reading how easy it is to take the cluster out, I'll probably just yank the bulb in the dash. I'd rather do it the right way, but whatever. I'm not so dumb to need a dash light to tell me that I'm not wearing my seatbelt.

i had this issue a while back and had it resolved with some soldering. Not happy about it, but it keeps the light off.
I need to look at the diagram tomorrow, but it has to do with splicing in the seatbelt harness with the floor harness. Took me about half an hour of soldering to do.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but after searching everywhere the TT seat wiring issue still hasn't been answered.
I've had mine in for a few weeks now and that dash light is getting annoying. I've held off on selling my stock seats until I could figure out where the wiring is going to. The problem is that the SC seatbelt connector hooks into the main harness of the SC seat and not directly into the main plug. I want to actually get the circuit working properly again.
What I've found is that the seat-side seatbelt connector has two colored wires: Black-with-Blue-Stripe and White-with-Black-Stripe. Those are lost into the seat's main harness.
On the main connector I again find an identically sized Black-with-Blue-Stripe wire but only a larger White-with-Black-Stripe.
I'm tempted to guess that these may be the correct wires but I can't be sure. Has anyone looked into these as a possibility to solving the wiring dilemma?

So... I am still interested to know if anyone has solved this issue. It's only two wires and with as long as these cars have been around, someone must have done it.
The main negative lead on the floor harness is easy. It's figuring out which is the other part of the circuit that needs to be connected that is still unidentified.

With StiCk3's help I've solved it. No lightbulb removal required. Will plug and play like OEM. Very easy.
DIY with pictures and a short video to follow.
Edit: Here is the DIY thread with pictures. It works like OEM now.
