They are shaved and pulled slightly with a fender roller. I wouldn't recommend gettin them shaved though if you're going to pull them. The quarterpanels are two layers of metal so if you shave them, it will expose and separate them. When they shaved it, I thought they were going to roll it. But it was too late.

the Nittos are far better in quality and performance. Although, the Nankangs do a pretty good job for DD and if you're looking to save a few bucks.

I don't know if its an extreme or mild stretch, but it is a stretch, and some tires perform better than others. Sh_Jzz30 said he did it so its probably alright.

I think a 245 up front and a 265 or 275 out back would be a good balance.
I didn't intend for you to go wider in the front, as you may have trouble fitting anything wider.
But as for the rear, there is plenty of space and the SC will thank you for the extra traction.

you sure about those rims? I swore I would never run a non-staggered rim setup on an SC again (did it once, hated it), with spacers you can achieve the right look, but you won't have that extra lip in the rear.

nankangs are good for daily, they last awhile. No problems here with nankangs, ran them on my GS

I have those same nankang on my rear 18's right now. They are hold up great and still alot of tread left. I got mine for $86 a pc. i'ma order some front ones soon here. I dont track my car and its just my DD so i dont care for name brand as long as they tread wear is good.

nitto neo-gens are pretty good. i have them on my civic since i bought my rims for it which was march of 08. they got a good 50k+ miles on them. the grip is great on summer temps and also have good grip in the rain. they have a unique whirrr sound when driving and new. they also have a stronger inner sidewall which is great for those that have a bit of negative camber to help try to even out the wear of the tire. i have a good amount of negative camber on the civic and it shows the irregular wear. though at 50k miles/2years you'd think they'd be wearing into the belt by now which they aren't. as they wear out they do get noticeably louder. even with sound dampening material on the firewall and wheel well area on both front and back the noise is still noticeable. though this is a civic.
after wear the tire grip degrades and is noticeable in the rain. hard accelerating from a dead stop in this light weight car in rain will lead to tire slipping pretty bad. at times even in dry weather a hard acceleration from a dead stop will slip.
overall i would go for the neo gens. right now i'm looking at tires, but i'm looking into a different set of tires so i can get a feel for something different.

The Nankang and the Neo Gen can both be noisy tires if alignment is not kept in check . However the Nankang with its 340 tread wear,will out last the Neo which is at 280

245 will be fine. i had 245/40 on 10" wide, and the stretch, if you can even call it that, was very very mild.
