I'm planning on getting Shine's replica AC kit sometime this summer and though I love how it looks on darker colored cars, my car is (will be) DWP, and for some reason, the cross in the lower mouth opening doesn't look right to me... like it's too busy.
I still want the support from the fiberglass "cross" and I was thinking of painting it either flat or gloss black. I did a really crappy Paint-chop of it below. What do you think?
Sorry for whoever's picture I stole, and thanks for being a good example!

It looks pretty good, the cross reminds me of a dodge everytime I see it and I don't think I would wanna keep it on either. Would it look dumb if just the vertical part of the cross was Taken out?

I think so too, and good point about the Dodge resemblance! That's what was getting me...
I've seen waaay too many fiberglass replica bumpers with big open mouths end up sagging the lower edge after short amounts of time. There's no way I'd want the vertical piece removed. The shine replica looks to have a fairly stout verticle support in the center, so I'll just paint it.
I considered cutting it so more air would get to the eventual FMIC, but it's not worth having the bumper droop.... then it looks like a 90's Sebring convertible
