Default How much more is a 97 5spd worth to you?

Hey guys, I own a baltic blue 95 SC300 auto. I recently found someone who is selling his ren. red 97 5spd. We are talking about a possible trade with cash involved. I just want to know what you guys think is a reasonable cash offer for this deal? Both our cars have 130k. My car is mechanically perfect, clean title, no dmg whatsoever. His car also has a clean title, but the rear bumper and trunk are from a 92 SC400 which indicates damage to the rear end, due to replaced parts. Looking for a ballpark..

Thank you!

Some would give a left nut, so it's up to what you think it's worth and how bad you want it. How much is the guy looking to get?

His car is a 13 years old 5-spd SC3 with 130K miles, and non-original rear bumper so, lets see... Is it black or tan interior? It it's black interior I would pay...

In the 6K range somewhere. It's not a spring chicken. KAH KA KAH
For everyone's information a female chicken can lay eggs without mating.

Yea but chicken eggs are good eatin'!!
I've not tried fried parakeet eggs. ...Sounds promising...

If I had a parakeet, and was drunk enough- I would make a fried parakeet, w/parakeet egg busicuit sandwich w/cheese. WHOS WITH ME!

Ah crap, good thing I checked VIN #'s, it's JT8CD32Z3V1000153.. which means it's actually a salvage title. If you google the vin, it's come up a couple times, even ebay. From a previous post tracking the 97 5spds, this is what was written:

JT8CD32Z3V1000153 Red 130kmi Stockton,Ca Beat salvage prv sale ebay n/a

http://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/1568504389.html

Was this anyone's car on CL? What is it worth in a trade now?

I'd give him $1.5k + your car max only because it's got a salvaged title. I think that color is hot sh|t.

wow...that car has a colorful past. Man if ya really want it i would show him the report and say look dude, here is hte cars history. Ill give u my car which has a good "clean title" and you can buy me lunch and give me a grand. Then say I can report you for selling a salvaged car stating its a clean title. It could work in your favor!

Thats a pretty good idea. Personally, I wouldn't mess with this car because of it's history alone. Your car is probably way cleaner than his anyway.

If you want a clean 97 5spd look at "LexusFTW"'s car. It is the perfect example of a stock 97 5-spd.
