alright, you removed thermostat?? I hope you put a new one in. lol
To get coolant to your heater core is electric/vacuum controlled.

btw the heater core flap is a little more hten under dash... it requires you to do this.

What you should check is the thing in the upper left of this pic. The little circle thing right of the abs has a vacuum line on top. By-pass it and drive your car for a bit to see if that did it. Otherwise you could have a bad water pump or heater core but i doubt that.

interesting, so you are running w/o a thermostat? think your heater core maybe clogged?

Un-hook the heater hoses, use the garden hose & flush the heater core out.
Then put in a new thermostat.

Sounds like you might have a huge air pocket that you created after removing your t-stat. Did you properly burp the coolant system after you removed the t-stat?

Try burping the system with the heater on, fan speed set to low. If you dont have a spill-free coolant funnel to help you burp the system, do the 'ol cap-off, front end raised up trick while constantly topping it off. Could get messy, keep your cats in your house.

Regardless, you should put your thermostat back in. There was a reason your car was overheating, removing the t-stat didnt fix the original problem.

jacking up the front end as you burp, bleed the cooling systems sometimes helps

i have a suction/pressure kit that works with a pneumatic compressor, to remove all the air. plus its been idling with low heat on for over an hour with a funnel.

this is so weird. i ll have to remove the heater core hoses to check circulation..

blend door motor in the heater core itself might be stuck, not switching it between the hot/cold options.

Just throwing some things out there

I had no heat also v-empire so I replaced the heater valve assembly with another one from my other sc. However, this time the car only stays hot and hardly blows cold but if i cross my vacuum lines then the AC works fine but then the heat isn't as warm. I would try to find a replacement at a local yard since they run pretty cheap.

i hooked up a pressurized system on one end of the hose and cranked the pressure way up....it pretty mch exploded out of the other end after a good 25-35 seconds.. there is heat now.

not as hot, but maybe its because i took off the thermostat...

seems like something got stuck/clog somewhere... mystery. ill post updates if anything changes.

Quick Reply: no heat. solenoid works, actuator valve goes up and down.
