I believe if you order a NEW rack and pinion from the local parts store, they are all rebuilt ones to new specifications, if I am not mistaken. I dont know if a supra one will fit your car without any mods.

Whats going on with yours? Leaking? Noisy? Clogged up? How do you u need a new one?

better change both the rack and your power steering pump/ rubber lines. chances are the fluid is filled with junk, contaminating both units. u can get both at ur local parts store.... i believe they charge a core fee. might be pricey from the get go but worth it down the line. don't wanna change one unit, the other one fails and now u have to change both again, changed the 1 part for nothing. don't forget to bleed the system afterwards, there are step by step directions in the box, as well as the internet.

I believe that the PS pump has a filter screen inside it which helps a bit when it comes to heavy contaminants. You could probably get away with replacing just the rack and flushing the system really well. I would change the return lines though, just simple rubber.

And yes, the PS rack has a core charge on it, so when you're getting you're new one, bring the old one so you get the core exchanged.

Hey Lisc i just finished replacing my rack and pinion. Mine leaked out of the boots when there is NOT supposed to be any kind of fluid in it. The job was fairly easy(my first time) if you need any assistance let me kno. Ive got detailed pictures but i seen someone else posted a pretty good DIY so i did not want to post pretty much the same thing and i believe the DIY was done by a DEAN something. IMPORTANT! Most likely your high press. hose GASKET is NOT reusable. Pick one up at the Lex. dealership for a few bucks.(the only place i could find em).
