Default SC400 vvti doesn't seem to peel out as much anymore

Can it be because I slapped on new 18" rims? I'm running veilside 18x8 and 18x9 with 205/40/18 front and 235/40/18 back. I noticed the car doesn't peel out as much as it did before with 16" stockers. With the stockers on the pickup was pretty quick off the line. Am I losing performance here with 18's? Or is it because the 18's with low pro tires provide better traction?

The new wheels are probably heavier than the stocks for one, and depending on the tires, you may have more traction now.

probably just weight. when i had supra TTs on my car 245F 275R BOY where they heavy...compareable to my Works. once i put on the stockies, it felt like half the weight lol.

Damn! I kind of liked how it peeled out with the stockers before. Not only that it's seems more torquey when the stockers locked up. With these 18's it sort of feels like I'm losing some performance but maybe its better since there's more grip. And it should be safer once I start spraying.
