I use to always think the larger the rim the better looking the car was. I was first on 20's on my 92 sc300 a good few yrs. back. Then I eventually switched over to 19's and stayed there for a good while. But for some reason, on 19's I would always think there's something not right about the look of my sc. Now ever since I got the 98 sc400 and dropped it with 18's, I'm never switching over again. I realized that there's a very special look on the sc300/400, and you can really see it especially on the stocker 16's. Why? Because the stockers are tucked in the fender and don't stand out as much as the car does. Then you really see the true beauty of the sc, especially from the side while looking from the back. But when I was on some nice 19's, they stand out way too much and just took away the beauty of the car. Don't get me wrong, but I've had a lot of compliments, but it's usually, "nice rims", Lol.. Now on 18's with 40 series tires, I could see people stare from left to right, front to back. It's a perfect combination. Just IMO though because I know a few love 22's on their sc's, but way too tall for me.

Your car looks just like mine but I still have the factory 15 inch rims and no lip. Those wheels look great on your car!
Thanks bro!!! i still have the 15" stockers too but no need for them anymore cuz i have the LS4 BBK..lol so im tryin to get rid of them
But since this pic painted my emblems black Now i wanna get some 97+ tails
I might be getting 97+ tails soon too since my left tail has water in it. I also need to get some wheels and coilover soon since the stock wheels are so ugly.
what is the maximum offset that can be use with 17'' wheels on a sc without fender rolling...ect. ? I read that it is 38mm on 18'' wheels so what about 17''?
