1998 or 1999? Opinions!
So after a few weeks of looking for a new SC I think I've come down to 2! Which one do you guys think I should get!? Both were serviced at Lexus and have had major tune up's already done. Both roughly the same price.
1) 1998 blk/blk sc400. 91k. My dream color combo, but has a crappy drivers seat. How much is new leather? Like $400 I read in previous threads?
2) 1999 dpw/tan sc400. 110k. Not my dream color combo, but extremely clean and its a '99! Is it worth it just for the year?
I'm aiming to pick my new car up this Sunday!

Wow lucky finds! But yes both '98 and '99 will have the same hp/tq as they both come with the vvti. I would say go for the blk/blk. Although the 99 has the 3 spoke wheel.. you can always pick up a 3spoke to put into the '98 and you can get the seat redone if you wanted to also. With the '99 if you, for some reason got tired of the tan and just hated it, it'll cost you to convert it all to blk. The '98 is a winner for me, but the 99 is awesome in itself haha.

The headlights on the 98 look horrible. How has the rest of the car been maintained? How is the paint, bosy, maintenance records, etc.? Those things need to factor in more than anything else. The 99 car loks to be in better shape and thus probably better taken care of, so that gets my vote.
