Sorry to report, one more of the 120 has bitten the dust. My `97 SC300 manual, VIN JT8CD32ZXV0040025, was totaled a few weeks back. As you can see from the pics, she was a goner. After 14 years and 200K miles with it, I will miss this car a lot. I will be selling the engine and transmission, both in great shape. The transmission is original, 276K miles; the engine is a recent JDM replacement that had about 60+K miles on it. I can't post a for sale ad here yet but if I can get my post count up enough, I will.

My "120" just tripped over 275k. Still runs great! Motor was rebuilt at 172K (overheated due to a fan clutch failure).
I love the car, but thinking about putting it up for sale. I got a BRZ and my wife is probably getting a company car in the near future, so we'll have one car too many and as much as I love the SC, the BRZ is more fun to drive.
Wish I had room to keep it. I think this car is right up there with a 57 Chevy as a classic.
Well, I listed the car on Craig's List and got four inquiries in the first half hour. Sold the car the next morning. I will miss the car... I drove it for 16 years.
You can add me to the list just picked one up will check the door tag later but vin is JT8CD32Z5V1000168. Got the original door sticker with matching vins proving it's the original 5 speed
Has just over 50k miles I will be the 2nd owner. Color is the classic green pearl, only made in 97.
Got to bump this... am almost done with my new daily driver sleeper and I need an inspiration to start working with my 1997 SC300 5speed before I loose insterest with it again.
Anybody SERIOUSLY interested with funds ready on an original 1997 SC300 5 speed 1 of 120 with 160k miles in good running condition and black interior , PM me. Willing to let a member who will take care of it have it . I have run the VIN and it is indeed an original 97 5speed with clean / no accident title & history.
I have mentioned it to some buddies on this forum but not sure if anyone of them can come up with the funds immediately . I have decided to give a $1000 deposit to the owner today just not to loose it. I don't think the owner knows what he has or its real value . IF no other member wants it , it will head to my place by Wednesday when I have the time to pick it up.
It is all worth it for $3800 with CCW wheels and other aftermarket stuff and black interior. It is platinum silver with good paint and no work needed . It is located South of GA so be ready to pickup in the next 3 days and return my deposit or I will pick it up myself .
