It has already been picked up ... currently in my place. But helping a buddy own the stock original 1997 SC300 5 speed with black interior. In return he was giving me all after market parts like CCW wheels and some other parts. He is still getting a damn good deal cause a 1 of 120 in great running condition and black interior will easily fetch around $6.5k now a days compared to the $3.8k he is paying for it and no initial cash outlay since he will just return my money over a period of time we have agreed upon.
Pretty sure he will soon be a member here and start posting his new toy which he would like to preserve as stock. Well I believe it is a good idea since he can enjoy it now and he would more likely get more when he gets tired of it and time to let go of it.

I would agree with seeing more going to the yard than coming up for sale. It should be interesting going forward to see if any super clean low mileage ones come out of the woodwork.
I wish I could find one just to keep super stock now that mine isn't.

Not sure .. but the door number seems to be a production sequence number not necessarily of 1997 5speed only cause I have seen the numbers sequence ..all over the place, much more than the 120 produced for the year Jan - Aug 1997.
If only people will keep their prices and not sell them lower , then SC prices can start commanding their prices. Will it ever happen... only time will tell. The price of that 1 of 120 at $9k am sure will be high for the majority of the SC crowd. I will be surprised if it will sell at that price.
