There should be more than 67 actually . I need to go back through all the pages of this thread and comb through all the posts . There are some VINs already on this thread that are not yet on the list. I would need to find the time to do it.
Hopefully one day we can have a complete inventory of the 1997 SC300 5speed VINs. That will also enable us to confirm if that 120 number includes those manufactured at the second half of 1996 OR are just really from the calendar year 1997 as suggested by the Manufacturer's Data (Sales and Production based on Calendar Year).
Note that the list mentions the last known owner. If the new owner doesn't claim the VIN then it is still under the old owner. There are a few on the list which I know have already been sold.

History Table for the Soarer Model: JZZ31 3.0ltr -> month and year a car rolled out of the factory by their VIN (serial #)
Here is a table I lifted from Wikipedia that can be informative . Looks like this info is based on Calendar Year. The annotations in blue are references from which the editors lifted the numbers. Looks like they have lumped the 1991 production with the 1992 that is why the number of production is a lot bigger than sales and technically the Lexus SC model started in 1992. So is the 120 number only for the 1997 calendar year manufactured vehicles ? I still don't know ! Hope one day we will find a more credible source and will find out .
Haven't been on the forums since I've been working on it for the last 3 years, I'll provide VIN when I get home, but here's what it's been doing the last few days, in the process of changing alternator and tires (and probably wheels). Motor is no longer OEM, recently replaced with TT 2JZ GTE from Aristo... not fun.

Sadly the original motor of the vehicle I bought "as is" was unrepairable (damaged cylinder walls, among many other problems from previous negligent owner that it was repoed from) without spending just as much money as buying a new 2JZ

Here it is, salvaged title from Greenfield Auto (I was the 3rd owner of the car sold from them at 144k, 160k, and 160k miles). It's now in Jacksonville, FL. I trailored it up here and have been working on it ever since. New motor has 50k miles on it. Paid 3.5k, lied to from dealership of issues, it was all kinds of jacked up but has gotten a lot of love, will be on the road soon!

Here is a table I lifted from Wikipedia that can be informative . Looks like this info is based on Calendar Year. The annotations in blue are references from which the editors lifted the numbers. Looks like they have lumped the 1991 production with the 1992 that is why the number of production is a lot bigger than sales and technically the Lexus SC model started in 1992. So is the 120 number only for the 1997 calendar year manufactured vehicles ? I still don't know ! Hope one day we will find a more credible source and will find out .
