Default How to replace rear spoiler light?
'97 SC300

The long red strip of light in the rear spoiler has burnt out. I unscrewed it but I have no idea what's next. Anyone?

You need to buy a whole new assembly. There's a connector just inside the hole the wire is going into in the spoiler. Pull it out gently and unhook it, hook up the new one, screw it back in. That's all it was in my '99, anyway.. pretty straightforward.

I got mine from Aliga.. not sure if he's got any more. If you have to get it from Lexus, it's like $200.

$200? I can probably buy the whole spoiler for that. Btw, is there a specific name for this part so that I canshop around?

Trunk Spoiler 3rd brake light LED any of those work

Aliga is a member on the forums. He parts out SCs. there is a thread somewhere on the classified section for SCs saying '10 CARS TO PART OUT'
