wheel fitment question
i already posted on the wheels sticky, but im posting here as well so that i can get a quick response. im trying to buy some rims for $250 by the way and tomorrow is the last chance i will get. here is my post from the other wheels sticky...:
im about to purchase some 18x8" rims with 275/45/18 goodyears all around for only $250. im not planning to keep the tires on there since i dont want to roll my fenders and these tires rub alread, test fitted already. i want to know what will be the optimum tire sizes for these rims. the offsets are +30 all around and i am running on stock ride height
thanks

i thought 235/45/18 for the fronts and 255/40/18 for the rears. but is that pushing it? should i be safe and go 245/45/18 front and 245/40/18 rears? i want the maximum handling that i can get out of these since its only $250

You could run 235s in the front but that would be pointless since your rims are 8in wide which means you can run larger 245s on them. You can run 255s in the rear but yes thats gonna be pushing it since 245s is the widest tire you SHOULD put on an 8 in rim.
If you wanted maximum handling you bought the wrong rims. 8in is too narrow imo. BTW 300-400 dollars is usually the going rate for used rims without tires so 250 isnt that great of a deal.

well i figured selling the tires for$100 or so. therefore it'll be $150 for some rims instead of $250. and someone can find me some nice decent used rims for $300-$400 please give me a link. im not gona go baller status on my wheels either since im strapped on a college student budget. i got 17's on them right now but they're only 17x7 with 215/45/17 all around on a +42 offset. supra wheels would be nice but not a big fan of them. tryin to stay on the cheap but decent side till school's over with. then the big baller rims, air bags, and 2jzgte swaps will come.
