If you want 50/50 tails which alot of people who modify their SC's do, then this is a simple way to do it right. If you just swap factory tails for factory tails, wouldn't THAT be considered redundant?

This is the easiest and most OEM factory-looking option that I've seen to get a 'true' 50/50 red/CLEAR SC taillight.
It's always 'easier' to just buy factory lights...

If you're good at wiring, anything is possible. Hopefully there will be some installed pics showing up in this thread soon- Give it a few days. Btw here is a pic of the clear center housing section of the 92-94 taillights just for documentation purposes.

This pic was taken by someone else in a different thread (It's what inspired me to try this whole project!):

Did it to my brother's car. Rewired the 92 harness so the top lights are red brake lights and the clear part blinks amber.

Yeaaah!!! Those turned out PERFECT Chrispy! Glad you went with what we discussed- I'm REALLY looking foreward to you posting up some installed pics-- might that happen soon? (Plz!) I never had a chance to install mine so you will probably be the first to post up pics of this type installed! (My set was sold to someone, but I've not seen pics nor heard anything since.)

Awesome ...So clean using that factory clear diffuser, also much simpler than Home depot fabrication.

It doesn't matter if you painted the outer lenses of your 92-94 taillights! That is the part you will be throwing in the trash.
Notice in this pic below of my ol' 50/50 92-96 mix tails, the outer lenses are from the 95-96 lights:

I'll take some installed pictures and maybe a video sometime. They are far from perfect. The '95 lenses are cracked and the '92 housings I used were in pretty bad shape. The inside of the housings are full of dirt and water. Since both tail lights were in such bad shape, the tail lights are leaky. They look and function great other than that.

It's the thought that counts? lol

Sounds good can't wait to see 'em- even some quick cellphone pics/vid if you don't have your real camera available would be great to see. Btw, you found those 92 lights for free for this project right? If you have any leads to other really cheap/free sets plz send a pm my way.

Looks like you have some condensation. Can you take some night pics/vid of how it looks with the running, turn, brake, and backup lights?
