does it still work like a 92-94 tail light because the red part on the 95-96 cover is the turn signal for our 92-94 tails ?

so with the 95 lense over the stock 92 houseing that means that the clear part is the brake light and the red part is still a turn signal correct ????

Not really, Lots of us have cleared the tails like this except using the95-96 and making all the diffuser. Just install red LED bulbs and your set.

That quite a sexy and cheap little mod you've got there, my good sir! Way to keep it OEM!

Now if I can remember all these little things for when I finally get mine...

Should work. You're saying plug the 95-96 harnesses into the 92-94 sockets, right? Well maybe not, the reverse lights are in different places... Hmmm... I'm sure splicing could be done if you really wanted to.

I'm running 95 tails on a 92 harness. Never had any issues with the setup... you just have to decide where you want everything to light. I dig my setup.... no harness mods. I actually do have hyperblink by choice. On my mountain it's very dark and I wanted a rapid blinker when turning into the house from the main road. Need all the help I can get in this area. So I pulled a bulb from each tail.

Great idea for a modification, But kind of redundant...If I were a '92-'94 owner, I would simply forget about taking the '95-'96 tailights apart and reusing part of the old tailights...I would simply just bolt the '95-'96 tailights on since they look better anyways and are more in demand. This would only create and even greater demand for already highly sought after '95-'96 tailights. good idea though...
