manual/auto Carpets different?
i've heard mixed answers...
are there different carpets (interior) for the auto sc300's vs. the 5spds?
i would think so because the dead pedal (part of the carpet) on the auto would be too close with the clutch pedal???
or at least it would seem that way...

Floormats I don't know
Carpet, I'm pretty sure the 5spds have a narrower dead pedal, but the ppl that have swapped didn't change carpet I don't think...maybe it's just a little close?

Now i am not 100 percent sure but i am like 99 percent sure you are right and the carpets are different. I dont have the sc400 on me right now to double check but according to the parts diagram the carpet is listed for jz31 and uz30 and jz31 5f (5f prob means 5 speed floor shift) So i think your right that the carpets are different.

yeah im pretty sure they are differet... because this one auto/5spd coversion had it's dead pedal really close to the clutch pedal. it was quite uncomfortable really...
but i guess if it's easy to take the dead pedal out on the auto's then it probably won't be a big issue.

YES they are different, but to make say an auto fit in a 5spd chassis, very easy/little modification will need to be done. Once you put it in and look at it, you will see exactly what needs to be done.

the carpets are different. i got a free mint carpet for my car that was an auto. i have a 5spd car. the dead pedal is wider on the auto. it was a pain the butt to drive, even for 10 mins, with the auto dead pedal.
i removed the foam from the 5spd dead pedal and put in on the auto carpet. over a year later and couldnt be happier.
if you need any help doing the swap PM me.

I'll add on to this..
YES there is a difference between the carpet on the Auto and 5spd SCs. If someone could chime in with a couple pictures for comparison that would be perfect. But yeah, for you 5speed owners, if you look down in the area where the clutch pedal is you will see a footrest to the left of the clutch pedal. Notice that the footrest has 2 rows of vinyl. For the Auto owners, you will have 3 rows. That is the only difference.
