Glad to have my car back...
because it was getting old...LoL
I hate having my car down for months...I feel naked without it at times. Just fill y'all in, I had "blown head gasket"-like symptoms last October. I didn't think nothing of it until I failed smog. Upon further inspection, the coolant in my overflow tank was gone. It was mixed in with my oil...bummer.
So, after spending days of trying to figure out what to do (engine swap or a rebuild), I opted for the latter. Why you ask? I didn't want to do swap because of legal issues around here. They've been rolling peeps up lately.
Quite frankly, I don't want that hassle. Plus, if I'm going to build a car, you better believe that I'm going to use it without any worries. I wanted to pass smog legally and to drive this car for another 200-300k miles.
With that said, I rebuilt the head using OEM parts. It was finally wrapped up last week. I also replaced the spark plugs, cap&rotor, wires, EGR Modulator, valve cover gaskets, and the oil. The whole ordeal set me back $1,300 . Oh well, it's a small price to pay considering how happy I am to have her back. It passed smog with perfect results. After this, everything is practically new in the engine bay. The car does not leak ANYTHING. LoL
Anyway, on with the pics...
Engine Shot...Mickey approves
The car is actually really dirty. For whatever reason, this color hides it well. The wheels are in need of a good polishing.
And yes, I'm going to lower it more...I just have to shave my rear fenders first
It's good to have her back...

I know how you feel about not having your car. Mine was out for almost an entire month once and I was furious at the people who had it. It is like a part of me that has suddenly disappeared.
