Default 911TT or SC400 Modded

I have an option to buy a 2000 Porsche 911 (996) Twin turbo. Its black on black 6 speed manual with less than 50k miles, for $30000... or I could buy a 2000 sc400, black on black automatic, 100K miles for 12000 and spend the balance on modding it. Both cars are very clean and well serviced.

What do you guys think?

You might want to keep in mind resale value on these cars, especially if the alternative is spending 15k+ in mods on a 9 year old car.

I dont know I'm not that fond of the first generation water cooled Porsche. They also do not have the greatest resell value either. Consider this at 95 -98 996 turbo Porsches cost just as much and more. Seen them upwards to 60k+. Atleast that was the case when I was pricing the last gen air cooled Porsche's. But a Porsche is a Porsche....

wth, porsche 911...
i think a porsche will hold better value than an sc. for 30k, you could resell the car in a year for 30k, given the mileage is still low.

from what I've read the air cooled 993 Turbos (pre 98) have such a high resale value because there were far fewer made and they were the last of the air cooled engines...

A twin-turbo 911??? The one that retailed for $120,000 back then? No brainer dude. The car is underpriced by like $20,000 but if its the real deal WOW
