to keep this thread work safe. instead of posting the pic heres the link to the whole photoshoot. http://www.flickr.com/photos/spyder0...7607937489626/ *warning* some pics in that shoot are NSFW

i'd really appreciate any suggestions you guys have on what to do with the car. seeing as this is my first lexus/toyota. i really want to find a good union between VIP and JDM style on this car. so far the only mods i have for certain on this is stern axia rims(18x9 and 18x10 with low offsets) and cf gt wing.

why on earth would you let an s13 or any other car to have orange painted rims? ive seen this car on craigslist for sale or maybe it was some other s13 with orange wheels! im a little bias since ive gone through 4 s13s back in the day. but seriously for you to keep your skyline looking soo pristine and having everything flow with that car to come and see your s13 looking like that makes me shiver!

hope your friend will do the s13 justice and get rid of the wheels... hell i got 4spare SE rims that i will ship to him just to ease the pain of that car!
as you can see from the gtr im a "show" car type of guy. the "show" scene now is being heavily influenced by japan. the "JDM" style of tuning is usually over the top with bright colored rims and very wild vinyl graphics. thats the reason behind the orange rims on the s13. the s13 was supposed to be a project car for 09. overfenders, cf hood, cf gt wing, baby blue paint with safety orange rims. those rims are just my winter rims for the s13. theres a lot of those rolling around. the most common one is lime green rims on dark colored cars. theres also a green car with hot pink rims here. everyone is entitled to your own opinion luckily 99% of the people i get in contact with like the look. so far to date i've gotten more than 2 dozen people that gave me the thumbs up on the highway with them pointing to the rims. as far as keeping it, thats the main reason my friend wanted it. when he saw it he said he wants it and it really looked good.

Nice pick up. I'm assuming for the exhibition place pictures you're also in Toronto? Good to see that a high mileage SC went to a good home and will get the attention it deserves. Keep us updated...

thanks. i want to make her competitive enough for carshows but once i do that i need another winter car for the next winter season. ill definitely take good care of her. the previous owner took care her of her but only mechanically. first decent day we got after i got the car. i vacuumed the whole car including the trunk. found so much dirt/trash all under the carpet and seats. also the car was never detailed properly by previous owner. so im gonna give her the same deal i gave to the gtr when i first got her.

p.s. would you happen to know if theres any local meets around our area?

Used to be Toronto luxury/sports meets twice a month (one east, one east) that a few people would bring their Lexi to. I made it out once but I don't think they're going on anymore. A few people were talking about getting something together in the fall but I don't think it happened. Keep an eye on the Canada section of the regional forums, probably your best bet. If the meets get going again I'll be there once the salt is off the roads.
