Lexus door sills?!?
Hi everyone,
I have a JDM Toyota Soarer 2.5tt, and I was wondering if the USDM SC300/SC400 have a Lexus door sill option?!
What I'm talking about is like on the Lexus SC430/GS300. They have a brushed aluminium-finished door sill part that has the Lexus emblem engraved into it... did you guys in the US get them as an option/are they available at all?

I'd be interested in this too. ANYONE else?
p.s. I've seen many many upgrades in people's cars and it's a REALLY nice addition. It really catches your eye upon entering the car and is cheap and easy to install. Wow factor + easy to clean... let's get this one rolling PLEASE!

Nope, they are all a plain black plastic sill. There are aftermarket indiglo door sills that have the Lexus-logo and Lexus across it. I believe they are brushed metal too.

Wow... this post is old!!
But yeah I've found some sill plates (custom fit of course) to fit the Soarer/SC sills, however as they mount onto the original sill, the original item should be routed to embed the custom sill. The new sill itself is brushed aluminium with the Lexus wordmark embedded into it... looks quite nice really.

yah, i've been doing ALOT of searches and bring up old threads (that's what i'm suppose to AITE? ) much better than alota new threads floating around all asking the same questions.
I've realized in the last week that there's a TREMENDOUS amount of information on ClubLexus. We really need a good FAQ because I can find just about ANYTHING on ANY topic using the search and a little clicking. FAQ would simplify that process and allow newbies to go there w/out posting first.

Legends6spd,
Try doing a search under FAQ. There is one already started. You should take it on and add to it.. That would be a great idea. Maybe the moderators will allow for a section next to Suspension and engine with the title of FAQ.

Looks like the GS guys are working on something like this for their cars. If someone wants to come up with something for an SC that looks good and costs somewhere south of $250, I'm in. The pics I've seen of this type of product look hella good.
