Default If you lock your keys in your trunk...

... like I did yesterday, with the trunk lock on. I found a great method to get the trunk popped if your car is still open and the trunk lock is activated. Drop the under dash. 2 screws under the gas tank/ hood/ trunk release cluster. The panel left of the steering wheel pops off with safe prying. 1 more screw and another tab. Then you have access to the backside of the trunk release. Unplug the relay behind the switch ( Should be the blue/black wires) Use a paper clip to touch both the positive and negative points of the relay. Pop and wallah. Apologies for the scattered description. But, it will save you 70 dollars for a new key or unecessary damage. Any edits would be appreciated. Thanks.

haha ... now we know a way to the trunk if this happens to me! I only have one key, the master, and I need a spare. I'm not sure if it is 450, but its up there though.

OMG you guys are spending way too much. I found two sites that includes the key, VIN/Key Code Check, Cutting, and ship for $45. Please note that this applies to our keys only (92-97 SC300/400)

I"m sure your 45$ one doesn't have remote.

I care. Beats fumbling for the keyhole. I hate the key for my 99 GS compared to my SC. I don't ever have to think about what button to hit. Seperate lock/unlock buttons. F that...

The Remote master for 98-00 from sewell is $153, but it requires programming. My local dealership wanted around $305+tax for a key (cut and programmed), but I was offered a replica key from a local locksmith for about $170. He suggested that I just get the non-remote master generic key instead, so I could save my oem remote master and money. Luckily I had him make a key because he told me that there were already 4 programmed keys to my car, so he cleared them all and programmed only the 2 keys I have to be able to start my car.

whatever floats ur boat. who said you have to fumble with a key hole. it kind of makes me wonder because if putting a key in the hole is "fumbling" for you i dont really want to see you drive, not even talking about, work on a car

i would just get a regular key and a remote start/alarm. get a python 2 way and youre set. for the price of the factory replacement key with built in remote you can get an aftermarket system installed AND a key made
