So I heard my car is getting stripped...
... my old car, that is.
I was just browsing through another forum when I found out my old Soarer was being stripped for parts!
The old Soarer still looks the same from the day I sold it (albeit a little worst for wear) but still has the 18" wheels and engine parts (A'PEXi pod, Blitz blow off valve, exhaust and rebuilt turbos); the car is also unregistered.
I already have another Soarer (97 with 1JZ VVTi and updated exterior), which I was planning to put on the AC kit and I have the stock suspension etc. from the current Soarer sitting in my basement, still in good nick.
I miss the car dearly and am having thoughts about buying it back and returning in virtually to stock as a nice daily driver (install the OEM 97 body parts when the kit is fitted along with the stock suspension) with some older style BBS mesh wheels (or along those lines).
The car is going for $3000, and it would no doubt be an uphill battle to get her back into shape but do you guys think it is worth it?

um ... the $3k for the SC v like $30k for the IS ... isn't this more of a case of buy both?
buy back ur old car ... and then buy the new IS ... just get like one less option or something ... or finance it longer ... i'm sure there's a way to work around the price (if that's actually a big issue)

i think you would spend more money buying the is250 campared to rebuilding an sc in total of buying it back... but its a 4 seater... id still buy it back, put it on hold, or sell it again to someone who will keep it.

I have decided against buying it back. I am an impulse buyer and as much as I'd love to buy it back I just can't afford the debt right now.
Instead, I'm trying to convice my virtually bro in-law to buy it heh
