There is no comparison. Stock doors weigh well over 100 pounds. The Fibreglass doors we're putting on our race car are something like 15-20 pounds, true carbon doors will be lighter, and a hybrid carbon will be about the same.
You just better have some beefy door bars and a cage before you even think about swapping the doors. Otherwise there aint nothin between your face and someones bumper.

Exactly. Carbon/fiberglass doors are NOT for public road use. Even with a sturdy roll cage (not some hoop, but a full roll cage), any side impact from an SUV will still let whatever hit you halfway into the car as it wraps around you and the bar.
Worry about things like carbon doors, etc.. after you make 500whp.

I thought of the carbon fiber doors too, until I realized I don't wanna die @ 21 and, they cost arms and legs. For the price of the doors you're better off buying a Civic SI and doing a swap and stripping the heck outta that Civic.

You can probably get away with power locks. But as soon as you add that fat *** window and regulator youll hear some cracks and the door will sag. Add those big amplified speaker boxes and speakers, the doors gonna fall right off.
REAL carbon kevlar doors will hold a bit more weight, but why would you want to add weight when the sole purpose of carbon or fibreglass doors is to eliminate it. Creature comforts usually arent considered by people who install things like this.

That's amazing CF doors weigh 80 lbs less than stock doors. Just as long as the CF doors can be painted to look OEM, I'd go for it if I had the money. With the money you'd save on gas alone it would pay off in just a few years. Quite honestly I would rather die in an accident with my car. I dont think I could live without her .
