Just did a drain / fill on the SC (first time doing it myself). Done multiple times on my LS. Both times, the plug came out damaged (half stripped). Is it just me or are these plugs aluminum? Appear to be very soft material ... makes sense in a way, protects the pan itself from ham-fisted guys over tightening, which is what appears to have happened on both of my dang cars (for ***** sake). Annoying as hell. Will be replacing both, but what's the word, are these things aluminum or what? Just curious. Didn't have a magnet handy at the time to check.
